Project Description
This project presents a Smart Fan System that automatically adjusts its operation based on surrounding temperature (and optionally human presence), showcasing how simple sensors and microcontrollers can transform everyday appliances into intelligent, energy-saving devices. Using a temperature sensor linked to an Arduino controller, the system activates or deactivates the fan when preset thresholds are crossed, with built-in logic to prevent rapid switching. For added efficiency, a motion sensor can ensure the fan only runs when someone is present. The exhibition display will feature a live working prototype housed in a clear or partially open case so visitors can observe the sensors, wiring, and fan in action, supported by an explanatory panel with diagrams and applications. By combining visible real-time response with clear educational visuals, the project highlights practical automation principles, the importance of energy efficiency, and the potential for scalable smart-home applications.
